Hello
It's been a long time since using Chronoforms5 I was able, thanks to the examples that were in that version and the documentation to create a registration form that has done its duty for a long time.
Now having updated Joomla to version 4 I decided to switch to Chronoforms7 and here my problems started.
The extension is free and I think it is very powerful and I thank the developers for this... unfortunately my skills are not as great and I pay for my inability to create the same form again.
There are no more sample forms that were decisive, I can't find any documentation to help me.
Already importing from 5 to 7 created problems for me (actually I couldn't do it).
I'm looking for a version 7 step by step guide for recreating the registration form. The user registered, the admin activated the account and the user was able to access a number of pages and documentation on the website.
I hope someone can tell me where to find some useful resource if it exists (I couldn't find it).
Thanks in advance

Thank you Max, I appreciate your support.
Unfortunately I'm not able to restore the C5 form 'cos the error

HY000, 1366, Incorrect integer value: '' for column 'id' at row 1
restoring will not work very well for advanced features like joomla registration.
Why do not you use the explanation in the topic to build the same form ?

Yes Max, doing the form over again would be the most logical thing to do.
But already the first time with C5 I was able only starting from the demos that were in that version.
So the answer is that I would love to but I'm not capable, that's why I was looking for a step by step guide.
The topic that you kindly pointed out to me is ok but I think for those with more skill than me.
Anyway thanks for the support, I'll try to fix it somehow.

what should the form be doing ? just save a new user ?
Hi Max
The form:
The form:
- Collects some personal data of the user
Registers the new user and password
Informs the administrator who activates the user
The user has access to reserved sections of the site
what other things does the form do ? does it save to a special database table ? I want to know which "actions" do you use in your form, from your description you use Email & Save user.
Any fancy fields features ?
Any fancy fields features ?
Looking at the old form I would say that there doesn't seem to be any great things: the data is saved in the basic db: the table has the name Q04sa_chronoengine_chronoforms_datatable_form-name
(I saw that in the SQL this table still exists and contains users who logged in in the past.)
there is a redirect that goes to a thank you page for registering and explains that another email will notify him of the successful activation by the administrator
new users are in the registered group
I think that images are more exhaustive than my words😟

Good, since you still did not make the form, I will recommend that you install the new ChronoForms 8, get familiar with it (it's much simpler) until I can add a "Save User" action and prepare a tutorial for you.
that may take 1 or 2 days, is this too long ?
you can keep v7 as its, v8 will install as a new component.

:) if I had already created the form I would be much more relaxed.
Anyway yes, I will install version 8 (I prefer to have everything as updated as possible) and yes, I can wait a couple of days for the tutorial and for what you still have to implement in the new version
Thank you Max
