ChronoForms for Joomla 2.5 on localhost?

Fredolino 27 May, 2014
Hello,
I am a beginner. 😶
I wanted to activate the form component with the two codes that I generated. But there is always only an error message:

• Validation error, you have Provided incorrect data.
• Your ChronoForms installation on localhost is NOT validated.

I am creating the website (Joomla CMS 2.5.xx) with the forms only on my server / computer that is on localhost (XAMPP).

When you generate the code, I did not use "localhost" is specified, but the domain of the website, which will go online later.

Does the validation not on localhost?

Best Regards
Fred

Hi Fred,

I think that you are correct and the validator won't work without and internet connection (bit you probably don't need to validate on a private site either).

If you need a workaround please ask Max using the Contact Us link above.

Hello Bob,

Thanks for the hint.
My computer is online, the validation should have worked as an Internet connection is always there.

Nevertheless, the error message came.
I can create forms without validation, but do not see in front of my computer. There also is only the error message.

If the form component only directly on the customer's server provider on the Internet?

In my testing server (XAMPP) on my computer it does not appear.

Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Fred,

ChronoForms will run on XAMPP or any computer/server. It's just the validation that needs a connection.

What error message do you see in the front-end when you try to look at a form?

Hi Bob,

thank you very much for your patience!

The message in Frontend: Form not found or is not published

The form is published.
I had entered the validation code and instant code.
But there were only these error messages:
• Validation error, you have Provided incorrect data.
• Your ChronoForms installation on localhost is NOT validated.

Well now I have unfortunately only the validation code but not the instant code that is displayed only 5 minutes.

Hi Fred,

Let's solve any issues related to the validation using the "Contact us" page, I have already replied to your ticket there!

In general, the domain name used to generate the key must match the one detected in your admin area, which in your case is the source of the issue.

Max

Hi Fred,

If you are seeing form not found or not published then please check that the form is published and that you can see it from the Front End View or Test Form links in the Forms Manager. The most likely cause is a typo in the URL.
