Create a link to an article

chriso0258 30 Dec, 2013
Hello,

I created a ChronoConnectivity Connection via a menu option on my website to display all the books in our chess library.

What I would like to do is allow a user to click on the title of a book and be taken to a regular Joomla article which would have more information on the book and provide an option to check it out.

I know I can create a ChronoForm to display the book's information but in this case it needs to be a Joomla article as I'm using an extension called Simple Caddy to allow the book to be checked out and that component only recognizes Joomla articles.

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

That's simple, if your table has a column for the article's id associated with the book, then you can use the "linkable fields" to display this link, I strongly suggest that you use CCv5 for this as it has a more user friendly interface and more capabilities.

Max
