Internet Explorer 10 issues

jimmyt 18 Dec, 2013
Hi,

I am noticing some issues with Chronoforms displayed in Internet Explorer 10. I do not see any errors in IE Tools (just a warning about "HTML1524: Invalid DOCTYPE. The shortest valid doctype is "<!DOCTYPE html>"". The form appears to work fine in Chrome.

1. All the radio buttons and checkbox buttons in a group are displaying horizontally instead of vertically.

2. There is one checkbox group in the form. When selecting all items in the group, the form refuses to submit and scrolls up to the checkbox group, as if the user had selected nothing. If I uncheck anyone of the checkboxes the form submits.

3. The email generated, and the data saved to database, do not include all the checkboxes selected. They only include the checkbox that was UNchecked.

I don't know if these symptoms are related, but I would think so; none of them are present when displaying the form using Chrome, and the form works fine there.

Thanks
Jimmy

I can confirm that the issues listed in my post above also happen in Internet Explorer 8 (ie8), in addition to Internet Explorer 10 (ie10).

However, the page also works fine in Firefox (in addition to Chrome).

Hi JImmy,

These sound like template problems. Are you using a RocketTheme template? If so, please uncheck 'Input Formatting' in the template advanced options and see if that fixes the problems.

Yup, that worked. Thank you very much.
