front end view permissions

marklandry 02 Oct, 2010
Hi,
I can't view my table unless I select all users in the "view users" box under the "FrontEnd Per User Permissions" area. I have all entries in the area above that set to public. Is there a "let everyone and their dog view this" button that I'm missing somewhere?

Thanx for your help

Hi Mark,

It should be enough to select all the Groups in the View User Groups box.

Thanx Bob, that did it, don't know why I didn't try that...
Only other glitch is that I have CC loaded into an Iframe with the template stripped using "&tmpl=component" in the IFRAME url. If I change the display#, it works fine but along with the results I also get the template.

Can you direct me to the source page that handles this? Or, a different way to load CC into an article?

Thanx again for your help.

Hi Mark,

I never tried putting CC into an iFrame :-)

You can possibly do it by adding your own form tags in the header & footer boxes and setting the action url to include &tmpl=component. (Remember to turn off the automatic CC tags if you do this.)

PS I have done something similar with a form in a lightbox and there I used a little JavaScript to detect the &tmpl=component in the query string and change the form sction url. The code is in Chapter 12 of The ChronoForms Book "Showing a Form in a lightbox"
