php 5.3 issue page blank

samoht 23 Mar, 2010
Hello guys,

My host just recently upgraded to php 5.3.2 - after fixing all the depreciated errors and the 500 internal errors I notice that all my pages with chronoforms on them are showing up blank... the entire page.

Do you guys have any ideas why and what is a solution??

Thanks,

Hi samoht,

No idea, I"m still on PHP 5.2 - I've checked the upgrade compatibility page and there's nothing obvious there.

I'd suggest that you set site error reporting to maximum and see if you get a PHP error showing up.

Hi Bob,

do you mean site error reporting in the joomla config or in the php.ini?

Hi samoht,

They should both do the same thing - so the answer is 'whatever works'.

Well, I tried them both and unfortunately I still get a blank page 😟
If I remove the chronoform the page will show up just fine. I turned off sh404sef and still blank page. I am sure that it has something to do with php5.3 - but cannot figure what it might be.

Well, I am not sure what happened but the page is showing up fine now??

Hopefully it doesn't happen again.
Thanks for your help anyway

Hi samoht,

Weird, glad it's started working again.

Maybe something was cached and worked once the cache refreshed . . .
