Chronoforms plugin supports multiple forms?

fjerpje 13 May, 2009
Hi people,

I got to say this component is very good. But i ran into a
problem. I use the chronoforms plugin for joomla 1.5.10 and
i want to show 2 forms in 1 article. I want this because i
have a tabs plugin in wich i can seperate text under those
tabs. So i am willing to show 2 forms under 2 tabs in 1
article.

But when i put this together it didn't work out. Because
the first form was active and the second form reacted at the
first form but i made it (ofcourse) seperate names aswel
as in the form elements.

I don't know if the plugin supports multiple forms on one page
so if it does than i'm actualy doing something wrong. If this
is the case than i could use some help.

Thanks already,
Fjerpje

As far as I know it does support multiple forms. I think I tested it before. However, I have used a tabs plugin also with chronoforms and got good results using one form - even though it acts like several. If you post an example or attach the form itself it would be easier to help.

Hi,
I am struggling with this. I want to put several forms on one article, but when I do they all seem to respond to one 'submit' button.
I am judging this because when I alter the value in a textbox on each and then press any submit button they all revert back, each to its own default textbox value.
each has its own id and is in its own 'div'

Help needed Please.

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure I can understand you but one submit button in a webpage will submit the parent form data and the whole page will navigate away when clicked!

what do you mean by :

they all revert back, each to its own default textbox value.

Hi Max (and Bob)

I owe you both a case of beer ... though I am buying multiple licenses!! Thanks for all your help!
I am having the same problems here as DAFFY -

http://www.tradiewebs.com.au/index.php/tradiewebs-getting-started

I am using a plugin called Tabber (by NoNumbers) combined with the Chronoforms plugin

{tab=Need a Hand?}
{chronoforms}twWeb-hndHldr{/chronoforms}
{tab=Go it Alone!}
Go It Alone
{chronoforms}goItAlone{/chronoforms}
{/tabs}

But like Daffy, the result I am am getting is only the fields of FORM 1 (hndHldr)
If I turn off the 1st form, I am getting all the fields of form 2; otherwise only the requested fields of form 1.

I have checked that the forms are closed (/form) and tried turning on/off a couple of the Chronoforms parameters - Load Chronoforms files; etc, but to no benefit

Any suggestions?

Thanks always in advance, Simon

Hi Max / Bob

Just a further note to this... if I make BOTH forms submit to the one database... all the data is recorded... though the RESPONSE email is truncated to the FIRST forms 'response' email template

Making me feel the Response Email is not being closed fully; and being picked up by the second form as the correct email template

I could not get this to work... 2 forms on the one page, under TABS

Though there is the possibility that having 2 Tab plug-ins might have caused problems.
My solution was to duplicate the page and place buttons to/from each form... is now working (both are now working fine)

Hi Simon,

Sounds like a good fix. There are clearly still problemd with the plug-in/modules and multiple forms on the same page. I just haven't found time to dig into them :-(
