Hi,

I have guests enabled...post ? Yes
New Comments Default to Published
Send Verification Emails ? Disabled Send to guests only Send to Everybody
Show Captcha (AntiSpam) Disabled Enabled
Captcha type Smaller(Without Fonts) Bigger(With Fonts)

email confirmation is turned off...

but if I'm logged in, it tells me I have to log into make comments

is this a bug? or have I got something wrong...

hi rod, do you have V1.2 or v1.1 ?

Hi,

I d/l 1.2 - then read the other post (sorry - should have quoted) about the settings.

I didn't realize that I needed to select registered users can leave comments AND guests... that's what was tripping me up.

it's all good (and I love that email isn't required anymore)

thanks!

Hi rod, sorry but I want to make sure of this, if you unselected registered users from V1.2 and left "guests only" then it will ask you to login too ? because this doesn't happen here!

Cheers

no - sorry - what i was trying to explain was that I hadn't done that. So we're all good - its working fine.

I admit - I was a little confused by the way those two work - but once I read the forum - it was obvious🙂

thanks!!

Hi Rod,

Thanks, well, I added a fix for V1.2 so that it should allow posting even if no groups are selected and the option "allow gusts to post" is set to yes, now I need to revise this one!

Cheers

I know this may be annoying but are you SURE you have v1.2 installed now ?
