CF8 Restore from CF6

support210 25 Nov, 2024

I followed your instructions for the intended restore of a module in CF6 on the new development site and I must have done something wrong. I am attaching the two screenshots of the restored module.

the importer did not support importing grid or fieldset areas, I have added this to the next update v8.0.29

Thank you for reporting

Thanks Max for your advice! Then I will wait for the next version release to make all the required updates (also Gantry / Joomla scss corrections etc.) that my customer expects included in the annual support, together with the CF8 adjustments. Do you perhaps have a timetable for the next version?

Hi support210, I have just published the new update, please give it a try, grids and fieldsets should now be imported from v6

I tried both the manual and the automatic component update on joomla 5.2.2 (after cleaned the joomla cache!) and loaded a complete backup (of all the 6 modules) and also a restore of a single module (the italian). Unfortunately the result doesn't change and the grids and fieldsets of version 6 aren't loaded.

Thanks for sharing the backup files, I have fixed this issue and released a new update v8.0.30, it should work there

You will need to rearrange your pages and make the page called "one" (#3) the first page and remove the "load" page(#1)

Also you should have one form and translate it using the Locales settings, instead of having 6 different forms:

Now it works although some details such as the column layout need to be reassigned.
