Payments Library for V8

Hi Max,

The downloads page says to use V8, but it doesn't look finished.  I am currently re-vamping an old site that uses V4.  Should I use V8 or V7 ?  V8 has no plugins for payment on the downloads page.  V7 does, though I see someone has commented that the V7 plugins work on V8.  I'd like reassurance before committing to the version.

Also there's a typo on the V7 plugin description "The payments library installer for v7, inclduing Stripe, 2Checkout and Mollie gateways"

How can I pay for this plugin?  I don't see it in the shop.  I recall when using the Paypal plugin that it inserted random amounts until the plugin was paid and activated.  Having said that, I'd like to give our site visitors the choice to use the use either the PayPal gateway or the Stripe gateway this time, but there's no mention of PayPal.

I recommend using v8, this is the one in active development at the moment

I can add payment plugins from v7 to v8 quickly if you need that, but in general the demand for payment plugins has cooled down recently, and as you found, PayPal was not added to v7

I can try to add PayPal to v8 but this will need some testing

We definitely need Stripe for v8 very soon.  Maybe we don't need Paypal, but it would be nice to have at some point, but not so urgent.
