I did some searching and the only answers I could find for limiting the number of form submissions was a post from 2011.

Is that still current for CF6 and 2018?π
Hi Reqvu,
β
It's a bit simpler now. You can use a Data Read action to check for existing entries then and Event Switcher to either show the form or a message.

Hello,
β
This is an old thread but I am reviving it.. Could you please give an example as to how it works. I have never been so confused using chronoforms as much as I am on V6. I just don't seem to understand terminologies..
I tried to find issues through the manual but I don't find many issues there. I seem to get lost most of the times.
Please help.
β
Thanks
β
Ron
The Submissions limit feature is on the list for v7 which is already in beta stage.
β
How urgent is this feature for you ?

Hi Ron,
β
It's pretty straightforward, you use a Data Read action, or custom PHP to query the database to see how many valid responses have been recorded. Then you either display the form or don't.

Thanks Max.

Right now my V6 in not in production stage but development. I am still using V5.. Where can I get the Beta of V7 ?
β
Thanks

Hello
β
Is there anyway I can import my V6 backup into V7 ?
β
Thanks
Hi Ronn, for now no, not before the stable release!
β
But why do you need this now ? v7 beta is only for experimenting and getting feedback, you should not build a form in beta as the next beta may do some core changes and break your form!

Thanks for the reply Max.
β
I was wondering since I am already working to move all my V5 forms to V6, why do I not work to move straight away to V7 ? I am just afraid because on every release of new version of chronoforms there is no ability of moving the older version forms to newer version..
β
If there is an ability of moving the V6 forms to V7 then it should be a fantastic upgrade..
β
Thanks anyway..
β
God bless you

Ron
Well, in this situation I would recommend that you wait for v7 stable before starting to move formsπ
β
What features are common in your v5 forms ?
