Can't edit any form

innova 07 Jul, 2015
Hello,
not sure what has happened but now I can't edit any form!

Yesterday morning I installed the connectivity plugin but I didn't have the time to test it so I decided to disable it. This morning I don't know why the form in the frontend wasn't sending any data. I checked the form and I couldn't select the database (in the forms manager list) so I decided to uninstall the connectiviy plugin. After doing that the program displayed a message asking to download the CEGCore framework. After checking the forum I reinstalled 'chronoform v5'. Now I can check the databases and select one for a form (forms manager entries) but I can't edit any form.

I select the form, I go to the setup tab, select for example the 'Edit' option for 'Email' action and the screen displays something like a shadow and it locks everthing! The installation was validated and now it asks again for a validation.

Please, help.

Hello, thanks for your interest in my problem with the forms but is not about any of the answers you give.

The problem is not that I don't know how to edit the forms is that when I select the Edit buttom the program locks everything and I can't change/select anything in the form.

Thanks.

Hi Innova,

You've done the right thing in re-installing ChronoForms v5 - did you check that you have the latest version?

There isn't a ChronoConnectivity Plug-in so I suspect that you installed the component.

The most likely explanation for the grey screen is that there is a JavaScript error on the page. Do you see any errors if you check the console in your browser web-developer tools? It might also be a PHP error - you can spot those by looking at the page source - but that can be very very long.

Hello and thanks a lot for your reply!

After reading your msg I remembered that yesterday I updated the JavaScript version for firefox. More and more webs were showing messeages that I needed to update it in order to view some of the information displayed there so yesterday finally I decided to update it. So is that the problem then?
I've just checked the chronoforms admin side using Google Chrome and IE and everything works fine there!

Thanks!!!

Hi innova,

I don't use FireFox much these days but I just checked and it is working OK.

What do you mean by 'updating JavaScript in FireFox'? That sounds odd - is it possible that you've installed something on your browser by mistake?

Hi innova,

That makes sense - and should have no effect on ChronoForms.
