My form is being submitted blank even though it has required fields. How?

My form has several required fields, yet sometimes, every once in a while, I get a form result back in that is completely empty. It has my labels on it, but no data is submitted.

The IP address for most of these submissions is the same.

I'm not sure how it's possible. Is there something I can be looking for in my settings that might be causing this?

Thanks.

I do not see the pink On Fail box for the captcha though. Is that specific to certain versions?

Hi emills01,

If you are using the 'Simple Wizard' it isn't visible - it's set up for you and hidden behind the scenes.

I'm kind of at a loss for what I can do then. I have captcha already set up. The page suggests HoneyPot spam check but the link leads to a 404 error.

Hi emills01,

Switch the form Type to Advanced if you want to see all the actions.

But the Captcha, or lack of it may have nothing to do with the empty emails. What info do you get if you search for the IP address, it may be Google, or a web-scanner used by your web-host?

PS I've fixed the broken link in the FAQ, thank you.

Will switching to Advanced prevent me from being able to use Simple mode again?

Hi emills01,

In theory no - but in practice I don't advise going back again. IMHO the Simple mode is harder to work with once you've got the hang of ChronoForms actions (it's really just a wrapper for a set of the more common actions).
