Hi Bob,
I'm creating a multipages form, so I decided to change a container.
I put the fields in the container but when I save the form the fields go out the container.
I try with custom code and it works good, but when I work in wizard design, it doesn't work properly.
Regards,
Vito
Hi Vito,
There isn't enough information here to give any useful answer :-(
If you create a new form can you drag elements into a container there?
Bob
Hi Bob,
I try to explain better the problem.
I created a form with some fields, so I decided to put the fields in different pages.
I created a new container and I put some fields into the container, when I saved the form, the fields go out the container again.
Hi Vito,
That's what I understood - I've not seen that happen and don't' have any explanation. By all means PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.
Bob
Hi Vito,
There's a clue in the big pink message in the Forms Manager One or more of your fields names contain a space or illegal characters or starts with a number, fields names should NOT contain spaces or dashes and should start with a character.
Most of your field names have spaces in them :-(
I made a copy of your form as MPS_bob, edited the names and ids (and a few of the options entries) and I can copy, paste and add elements into a container OK.
Bob
PS for some reason I can’t work out the pink warning message hasn't gone away :-(
Hi Bob,
I saw the error message, but I didn't find the name field error.
Anyway thank you for your support.
Best regard,
Vito
Hi Vito,
Element names and IDs may not contain spaces - so names like 'Left elbow' are invalid; they also can't contain characters like . do D.O.B. is invalid.
Bob
Hi Bob,
I understood, but I found 5 error in your copy.
Did you change something?🙂
Hi Vito,
I added an email action which is not set up correctly - it was only used to see the input names in the template, you can delete it safely.
