Form not sending (not receiving mail)

Liesbeth 26 May, 2015
Hi,

I tried (for a few hours) to make emailsending working, but I am out of options, so I hope anyone can help me
I am using joomla 3.4 with chronoforms 5

What I tried:
- different options of sending mail with joomla (sendmail, php, smtp)
- using the form fia a menu
- using the form fia test-form in chronoforms
- using the form in an article with the chronoforms plugin
- tried different emailadresses (also checked if these adresses where receiving mail at all)
- I set relative url to 'no' in html render form

It looks like all is working fine, the thanks message is displaying correctly, but no email in my box.

I put on debugging and also general joomla debuggin, but still can't find the problem/solution. A screenshot of debug info is attached.

Thanks in advance if anyone could help me out.

Kind regards,
Liesbeth

Hi Liesbeth,

The "Email sent successfully" message usually means that the Email server has responded with 'OK' and not an error. The most likely explanation is that the emails are ending up in a spam folder somewhere.

Please test with a very simple email set up: To email, From Email (not the same as the To email), From Name, and Subject and see if that arrived. You can do this in a new form with just a submit button to save changing the one you have.

Thanks,

I allready tested it with a very simple form as you suggested with the same result. Also no mails in my spam boxes. Meanwhile I contacted the hosting service. There might be a spam filter issue on the server....

Hi Liesbeth,

By all means PM me the site URL, the form name, and a SuperAdmin login and I'll take a quick look.
