CCv4 vs CCv5 search

Hello,

I noticed that when i implement the search feature in CCv5 it does not have a reset button as in CCv4. Are there any drawbacks if I continue to use CCv4 to create a list of db entries because it provides the reset button? Can CCv4 point to CFv5 forms for editing?
