Hello, I have a user who is receiving multiple records (at least 2) in one email. Using email [gh] and the email client is Gmail. It doesn't happen all the time, but once or twice out of approx 125 records. Haven't confirmed this, but I believe that they can only reply to one of the recipients and not both, who are in the same email, different ip addresses.
I have searched the forums but do not see anything addressing this.
Would appreciate any feedback. Thanks much.
Derek
Hi Derek,
I can't work out how you'd get two transactions into one email. They are handled completely separately by the server so that shouldn't be any cross-linkage. Can you send me an example?
Bob
Bob,
Please see the attached. The client sent to me in a Word doc. When she forwarded the email, i did not see two. I will be visiting her in person next week, so I will be able to see for myself if it's actually happening.
Thank you,
Derek
Hi Derek,
Look over her shoulder. My best guess is that there are two separate emails but because they have the same To and from addresses GMail puts them into the same conversation thread so they look like merged emails.
Bob
Bob,
That makes sense.
Is there any way to have the sender's email appear in the From: field in the email [gh] setup? Or is it only the same domain?
Derek
Hi Derek,
Sorry, I missed this earlier.
Note: If you are an experienced user and you need to use the dynamic From Email box you can enable the curly brackets by adding ##OK## to the box.
But be careful - you may find all the emails go to spam or are dropped.
