Error Message There is no form with this name or maybe ...

DaleP 03 Apr, 2015
An error message has appeared on my Joomla 3.3.6 everywhere we have articles written saying - 'There is no form with this name or maybe the form is unpublished. Please check the form and the url and the form management.' which we i suspect is coming from chronoforms. I had not noticed until now we even had chronoforms on our website. I think it may have been installed years ago by a freelancer who used it.
Why has its error message replaced ALL our articles on the frontend of our site? How do we return our articles and fix this situation?
DaleP
Perhaps one of our helpers has clicked something considering the error message is everywhere we have articles it is so endemic it must be at a level that covers All articles not just some categories or single articles.
Please help we are freeking!

Hi Dale,

Please try to go to the "Plugins manager" and disable the Chronoforms plugin if its there, check if this helps ?

YeP that worked Thanks a heap MAX! Panic is Off!

However I see that now the freelancers work - an item for making bulk uploads- is not working. Is this a paid plug in? How do I save what he did with out disturbing the rest of the site? and why has it worked all this time and only recently changed?

Answer
I have no idea what's the bulk uploads thing, or why it stopped working suddenly!😟

Ha ha yer Thanks Max you are right
I guess what I was really saying is..It appears this important work this freelancer did was dependant on your plug-in how do we re-instate what ever chronoforms was doing for it with out effecting the rest of the site? Considering we only disabled it all the configuration for this freelancers work should still be there so therefore to get it to work again we just enable it again and then learn how to stop it interferring with the site's articles. Correct?
Is your plugin chronoforms free? If not what do we need to do? Thanks Max

Hi Dale,

The free version should work fine, you can read about this more under the "Subscriptions" page here.

I'm not sure how did your developer build his work, can you contact them and ask for more info ? did his work include any kind of forms ?

Hi DaleP,

ChronoForms is a form component. The forms it creates can be used stand-alone, linked to menu items, embedded in articles or in template modules.

If you are getting this message on all pages then it seems most likely that you had a form in a module location e.g. a contact from in a side-bar or footer. It seems unlikely that you had a download form on all pages.

The error is probably cause because the site has been updated to Joomla! 3.3, and presumably you have an old version of ChronoForms, probably of CFV4. Updating to the latest version of CFv4 for Joomla! 3 is the first step to take; hopefully that will remove the errors. You can download it from the DownLoads menu above.

Hi Bob, That did it!
Thank you Guys I am really interested now in what you do here. I am very grateful for the help that was really a big scare for us and to find help and an answer that was easy enough to follow let alone implement was such a relief and to find it is free was beyond any expectations we had of what we were facing.
The site is back to normal after installing all three updates the component plug-in and module. It will take us a bit longer to work out whether it was a side bar module or plug in etc., But the end result is that it seems to all be fixed up now thanks to this forum service and your free extensions.
Trust you definately have a fan in us now and as our knowledge grows we will most likely be back as a bigger support once we work more things through. Again thankyou to all at chronoengine
