copying forms outside directory folder

Is there a way to copy forms outside of a certain Joomla installation, and in another situation, to a different website? Thanks in advance.😀

Hi sikfaka,

You can certainly copy them to another Joomla! site; and probably to a WordPress site.

If you want to host them on a Joomla! site and show them on a non-Joomla site then it might be possible using an iFrame on the non-Joomla! site.

How do you copy them? When I click on the copy icon, it copies the form to the same folder. How do I export and import them from folder to folder and site to site? I don't see it.

Hi Sikfaka,

You can use the Backup and Restore icons in the Forms Manager Toolbar. Use the Checkboxes at the left side to select the form you want to backup then Click the Backup icon. Use the Restore icon in the second site to upload the backup file.

Notes:

This does not backup and restore any database tables used for form data and you will need to copy these in PHPMyAdmin if you want to move them.

You wlll probably need to re-connect any actions that link to database tables by re-selecting the table in the action settings.

Also newly restored files are UnPublished so you have to Click the Publish icon in the forms manager to use them.
