I have two sites that I am developing. Both were running Joomla 3.4.0 and were working fine. On one of the sites this morning, I upgraded to Joomla 3.4.1. Now when I click on the edit button on the "Setup" screen, the edit box pops up but remains grayed out. If I click anywhere on the box, it just closes and goes back to the setup screen.
I checked the forums and found the FAQ about Joomla upgrades, but I don't see any "Versions" folders on my V5 (like I had on the older Chronoforms versions) so I'm at a loss as to what to check for.
Any suggestions?
Quick update: I re-installed Chronoforms V5 on the upgraded server and the edit function is now working again. It would still be interesting to know what caused the failure and if I will have to reinstall Chronoforms whenever I upgrade the Joomla.
Hi networkx,
There's no major problem that I have seen reported in the 3.4.0 to 3.4.1 upgrade. As you found there are no version folders in CFv5 and they only cause a problem with e.g. 3.4 to 3.5

I think there is an issue with Joomla 3.4.1. Since I upgraded 2 days ago, 2 websites won't let me save anything - they save buttons either don't work, or they produce 403 errors. Doesn't matter what part of admin you are in - trying to create a new article, new V5 chronoform, change to global config - all getting errors and a lot of people talking about it - can't find a solution though which is driving me insane. Clearing cache and reopening browser no good - and new installs doing it as well.
Hi Huski,
I've been running 3.4.1 on a test site for a couple of weeks and haven't had any of the problems you mention. But it's a very basic site so it could be that there is some interaction with other components that I am not seeing.

I am running Joomla! 3.4.1 Stable [ Ember ] 21-March-2015 20:30 GMT
I, too, am suddenly having problems.
I am unable to edit my current forms, everything grays out when the edit box pops up. See screen shot attached.
Also, I am getting a 1054 error upon form submission. Screen shot also attached.

Hi marymcgraw,
The grey image tells me nothing except that the form editor isn't fully loading.
Have you upgraded ChronoForms to the latest version 5.0.9 for Joomla! 3? If you have you may need to check the page source or server log to see if there are any obvious error messages.
The MySQL error appears to be because one of the results you are saving is an Array, adding a Handle Arrays action before the DB Save action should cure this.
