CF5 latest version - 2 bugs appeared after update

agatti 21 Mar, 2015
Dear all,

since I upgraded to the last build of CF5 coming from just the immediately previous one, my form doesn't work anymore.

In the form, I have a drop-down field, whose event is set to "show" or "hide" a container, where some other fields are in.

Since I made the upodate in Joomla to the latest CF5, the events don't work anymore, i.e. the container is always shown, and it does not hide anymore.

At the same time, another issue appeared. On the same form, the "submit" button does not submit anymore.

So I tried to uninstall completely CF5 and install the version previous to the latest one, and everything works fine.

Thank-you for your help!

Regards AG

Hi Agatti,

Please send me a backup of this form, either here (after you remove any private info, maybe you take a copy first) or using the "contact us" page.

Hi Max thank-you for having offered your help. It took me a while to respond since I wanted to do another test and basically I re-wrote the entire form and the code within to just discover that now it works. Don't ask me why, but apparently what happened was that with a form already created in the previous version of CF5 and then upgrading CF5 to the latest build, have broken something. Instead, when I unistalled everything, then installed and updated CF5 to the very latest build, and only then created the form, it all worked.

Anyway, right now there is no issue around apparently, so again thanks for offering the help!

Hi Agatti,

Thanks for the update, but I would still like to test why the old form wouldn't work, because it should.
