Problems with Multi Column Forms in designer view

Answer
i have some small issues with the form designer.

When i open the Demo Multi column form, in the designer view it isnt shown as a multi comlumn for.
Its build with containers wher the 1st container has the tag multi_columns, and the 2 others in side just column, but for some reason the real layout isnt shown

I had the same when i tried to build my own.
When you just create it as you see it initially, so build a container with 2 other containers in side ,all fields are just top-down.
The only way to get the columns (when opening the form (test form button, or from the website)) is by adjusting the size in the designer using the lower right corner .

After donig that and going to test the form or open it from the site the columns are as it should, but when you go back into the form designer the design is back to all container inside the main container are shown below each other.

It would be nice to have the view in the designer as shown in the form when opened.

I can not resize from the corner, no option to do so at all mouse does not change to arrows in wordpress, even though the demo_multi_form displays the multi colums, I am still unable to replicate it from scratch, not happy!!

going to have to do it manually in form type = custom code. 😟

If the demo form works then your should unless you are doing something wrong.

You can copy the demo form and modify it, you have 2 columns, you can delete the fields inside and add yours.

You may also send me login info and I can check your form.

Hi Max,

that got me thinking earlier, by using the Demo, but that is a non starter also, as it does not let you create additional columns, they simply default below the previous column.

Also cant give you access, as I am working locally (XAMPP)😟

Ok, for now you can use "Multi fields" ? I'm working on the Wordpress update, since it has not been updated since 2 months or more, hopefully I will be able to finish this at the weekend, you can send me a message using the "Contact us" page to get it once I have it ready.

Hello Max,
I have seen that this happens after puttin several containers.
You can't add fields to the columns containers even if its selected when you are dragging the item on the screen and sometimes you can't resize the column containers.
The fields are added below the column container, i.e inside the multi column container.
The work around i have found is to copy and paste the fields inside the desired container.

In the end, I had to do it all manually, using the custom code option. I will come back in a few weeks to see how things get on with the update, as I am sure I will have to make adjustments.

Thanks.
