Joomla recognizes that Chronoforms 5 has come out with an update. I went through Joomla's update component and Joomla returned this message:

Warning

Extension Install: Another package is already using the named directory: /data/15/1/117/22/1443185/user/1550655/htdocs/administrator/manifests/packages/chronoforms5. Are you trying to install the same extension again?

Any suggestions on how the update can be applied? Also, if I apply the update, will it overwrite all of my forms?

Hi Bob,

I have the same problems with updating to 5.08 with joomla 3.4.0.
Also tried the solutions in your reply (with the link for the workaround), but the error is still the same.

Is there another solution possible?

I have no other suggestions. Have you tried the 'Fixing it Manually' approach?

Yes, I did. I have manually changed the install.php file, like the workaround tells.

What is the best I can do for now?
Waiting for a joomla patch, and/or chronoforms 5.09?

Is it also possible to upload the files and maps of the chronoforms update manually, like the way we updated Joomla in the past 😉 ?

Sorry, I have no more information than you do. I have heard that other people got the Joomla RS methods to work OK.
