Save, Save & Close, all buttons not working in Chronoforms backend

zoommsp 04 Mar, 2015
I have this site that I began to build quite a lengthy "Scholarship Application" for. I'm nearing the end of the application, and when I go to hit save, it sends me back to the Joomla backend dashboard. Found that to be very odd, so I went back in and found that none of my changes were saved. So I redid the changes, hit Save & Close this time. Takes me back to the Joomla dashboard and none of my changes were saved again.

Made a backup of the new form I was working on and the other current form on the site. Installed Chronoforms5 and restored the forms. Going into C5, hit save just to test it out, and the site crashes on me...

Wait 15 minutes, get access again, immediately remove C5 and now I sit hoping someone has some input on my issue.

I hope I am missing something staring me in the face because this just got frustrating and clients are wanting this live, like tomorrow... The site is live, the form I'm working on is hidden so no one can access it yet. Can any of you helpful people give me a hand?

How did the site crash in v5 ?

Please search the FAQs for "suhosin", your server needs some tweaks for v4 to work, but v5 should work without the tweaks assuming you didn't change any settings in the v5 "Settings" area.

The front and backend of the site goes white, says no Data. Hangs that way for 10-15 minutes, and then I can get back to the site.

V4 was working phenomenally. I had a form up and running for years without issue. In the process of building the new form, I've had an issue nearing completion of it. I could load up the v5 settings area, but nothing happened because if I hit a button in there, the site would crash.

According to the suhosin stuff, I'm hitting a limit of inputs. But I'm going in there and trying to delete lines of the form currently and that still will not allow the form to save

You may need to delete many fields before the v4 can save, you better change the suhosin settings to allow more fields.

And regarding v5, if you can set the "error reporting" to "maximum" under the Joomla global config, then you would get an error message which may help find the problem.
