How to upload files to a remote location (or cloud service)

mapme 04 Mar, 2015
Hi,

Is there any way to use the File Upload feature in Chronoforms to put files in a remote location?
We are storing all our uploaded files on Amazon S3 and we are looking to avoid our current convoluted process to sync files/folders from the Joomla website.

I've looked through the CF4 and CF5 actions and there doesn't seem to be anything like this.

Suggestions or past experiences greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Brendan

Hi Brendan,

Please see this FAQ - it's a bit old now but the basics should still be OK.

Thanks Bob,
I've implemented the code and it runs without error - so the PHP is fine! I've also added in my S3 keys.
But nothing shows up in either the Debugger or S3.

There are other Custom Code functions used and they are all running fine and they show up in the debugger.
But for some reason this code does not.
I've ensured the s3.php is also located in the correct place.

Any idea why something wouldn't show up in the debugger?

Thanks all the same.

Hi Brendan,

I'm not sure without digging into the code.

Please try this:

+ comment out all of the PHP in the included file except for the PHP tags
+ add a line echo 'xxx'; after the <?php line
+ test and see if the 'xxx' is output. If not then the file probably isn't being loaded.
+ If it is output move the opening comment and the echo down a few lines and test again to try to identify where the code is failing.
