Advice needed on how to go about recreating a car registry DB

MaestroC 29 Jan, 2015
I am recreating a site from scratch for a client. He had a classic car registration site built many years ago but lost it completely. It appears from looking at the archive.org images of the site that his entire database was done in Community Builder. Example form entry page is here:

http://web.archive.org/web/20101130174613/http://wmachineregistry.com/index.php/register-w-machine.html

Since I am rebuilding the site for him I am strongly considering doing it in Chronoforms as I feel that that CB thing seems very clunky to me. The problem is that I am a relative noob to CF. I know how to create the input forms and have read a couple of posts about creating output forms using the loader thing, but how easy would it be for me to recreate an output form such as this using Chronoforms and my limited knowledge of how it works right now:

http://web.archive.org/web/20101130171438/http://wmachineregistry.com/index.php/registry.html

Although you can't see them on the archive site each one of those entries links off to a page dedicated to that specific car. Would these output forms be difficult to create? On a scale of 1 to 10 how hard? I am a quick learner and have created forms from scratch in HTML before but don't want to spend a huge amount of time getting up to speed on doing it in CF. Any advice?

Hi MaestroC,

Use ChronoConnectivity to create the listing. Check the FAQs here for the basics. It's a 4 or 5 and 1 or 2 of that is getting the image links to work.
