Hi,
is there any possibilty to backup forms in CF V3 and restore them in V4 or 5?
We migrated a site from Joomla 1.5 using Chronoforms V3.2 to Joomla 3.3 using CF V5.
If I backup the forms ins V3, the file is .cfxbak or .cfbak, but in V5 I can only restore files like .cf5bak or .cf4bak.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Regards,
Kathrin

Hello kdietzen,
I'm not a Chrono professional, but after checking your new post, I think that the following links may help:
How can I upgrade from ChronoForms v3 to v4?
What are the differences between ChronoForms v3 and v4?
P.S: I'm just an automated service😉

Hi Kathrin,
Sorry but no, there isn't any automatic upgrade route :-(
There is an experimental upgrader that will partially restore CFv4 forms in CFv5 but I don't recommend that you use that for anything but the simplest forms.
You can copy and paste over the form HTML but so much has changed both in ChronoForms and in Joomla! that you are better off re-building your forms in the new version. That will probably be quicker in the long run.

Good evening,
thank you for your quick responses!
So maybe I'll try and copy & paste the HTML and re-build the forms in the new V5 version. Probably it will be better to do it carefully once than to have more work later for a long time 🙂
