datepicker missing 31st december

I'm loving v5, 1st time using it. Is it just me or is there a problem with the datepicker, doesn't December have 31 days?
I'm working locally, updated everything I can think of, cleared cache etc, multiple browsers, same result . . .?

Yes, a bug was recently discovered, it happens on some timezones, please send me a message using the "Contact us" page to get a patch file.

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?

The patch file, while it appears to fix the problem with the missing days, shows a new problem.
When you select a date with the datepicker the date entered into the field is 1 day out. I was careful to clear the cache etc. switching between the 2 versions of the file introduces the problem, can anyone reproduce the problem?
