Redirect Loops

I just installed chronoforums on a local install , did the kunena import and when I create a menu item for chronoforums and then try to go to it, I get a "redirect loop" I need to resolve this.
Also, is there a "dark" template variant?

Did you correctly configure the access permissions under the "Permissions" section in Chronoforums ?

There is no dark theme, you can override the CSS though.

I have exactly the same problem, and have been tried to get around it for two days already :/

I don't really get the "Permission" thing, could you please explain a little further about it? everything is set to "inherited" on my forum.

The steps are:

#1- Go to the "permissions" page in the forums admin area.

#2- set the first group (public) to "Allowed" for the first permissions set (Display/Access the forums)

#3- check your forums, if you still get a redirect loop then please login or logout.

In some cases you will need to go to the Joomla users manager and open the "Options" section and make sure that the public group is set to "Public" then SAVE the options, you MUST do this save in order to get the permissions working as expected!

Thank you that worked like a charm to me.
Now, I just have to figure out what's wrong with the user registration, and my website will be up and running.

I too am having Redirect Loops errors. I've installed, set up a category, a forum, and set a menu item to link to The Board Home Page. But I only see a redirect error.

I've tried setting permissions and fixing the so called public bug. No go. Logged out and back in. Cleared cookies. No go.

Any ideas?

Permissions must be disabled under the "Forum" edit page.

Distinct permissions setting must be disabled under the "settings" page.

Then the 2 posts above should help.

Please test using a different browser or post a screenshot for your current "Permissions", we just need to check the "Access" section.
