how to unhide an element after checkbox is ticked

ajw3208 16 Nov, 2014
Hi guys,

I'm on the middle of converting CF4 to CF5 (slowly and carefully).

I'd like to take advantage of having elements (textboxes etc) appear based on a condition (ticked or not).

I have stumbled around and am not getting a consistent result as with some combinations, it appears and others it doesn't. (and they are setup the same.

Could you advise what has to be setup up in both the checkbox element to allow a textbox to appear and what has to be set in the textbox as well.

A simple tutorial (with screen shots) would be great).

Thanks

Hi Anthony,

There is a demo form for this in the v5 installer, however, the latest update has a debug in the "Radio" event section, and the form may not work correctly when you try the radio section, but the setup is correct and you can use it for your checkbox!

Hi Max,

I shall test and advise, however for clarification;

Is the radio button issue, a bug in the latest update or has it been fixed in the latest update?

Hi again,

I have been using radio, not checkbox. (late night submisson brain fade). so the answer to the response is quite important as it'll determine if I ahve to change radio's to c/boxes.

Hi Anthony,

It has not been fixed yet, you can send me a message using the "contact us" to get the patch file, but if you have just 1 radio then you should actually use a checkbox instead!
