Limit attachment size

emmexx 15 Nov, 2014
I could not find an option in the settings to limit the file size of attachments. Why so?
I don't want to let users upload large pictures. Is there a hack to accomplish that? Or should I make an official new feature request? 😉

Thank you

HI maxx,

The Upload Files action has settings for Maximum and Minimum sizes. There will also be a server limit set in the php.ini file.

We should petition Max to find a new brand name for chronoForums! ;-)

Hi,

I have added this feature to the next Chronoforums update!🙂

Changing the extension's name in the code should not be hard, but then I will have to change the files names and old installations data and settings would not be easily migrated, also the product name should be changed everywhere here and on the JED.

Regards,
Max

My petition was a joke. :-)
A special filter to bar Bob from posting before 11:30 am could be enough... 😉
