It's possible the update from chronoforms v4 to the latest version v5 with the integrate joomla upgrade process?

Quick answer - no.

You may not need to upgrade at all; you can run CFv4 and CFv5 side by side on the same site if necessary.

There is an experimental upgrader that lets you restore a CFv4 form backup to CFv5 but it has limited capabilities :-(
