Moving from 2.5 to 3.3 - can't edit one long form

I am in the process of moving one of the sites I run from 2.5 to 3.3. I've installed a clean version of Chronoforms v4 and moved the forms and database tables to the database for this new instance. I have 7 active forms and was able to go into 6 of them and edit the DB Save function to point at the imported table for the form in the new database. However the 7th one is giving me problems: it is behaving like the max_input_vars for php is set too low, meaning when I click 'save' or 'save and close' it spins for a little bit then "crashes" to the main control panel.

Now I am abel to edit and save this exact same form in my 2.5 instance, but not in my 3.3 so just wondering if I am on the right trail trying to figure out how to get godaddy (customers choice, not mine) to increase max_input_vars or is there some other cause I should be looking into since the form will save on the same hosting account in 2.5. Any guidance or ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,

Chris

Hi Chris,

You'd have to check the GoDaddy docs to see how to set the php.ini value - usually that's possible,

Otherwise, you could install CFv5 alongside CFv4 and recreate the form there - CFv5 has an Ajax save that normally gets round these problems by saving the form in small bites.

Ended up that I had to move from one version of hosting to another to be able to get from php5.3 to php5.4 so it would pay attention to setting max_input_vars in php5.ini. Waited on GD for a few hours and tried again and it noticed the parameter and worked fine. Must have just been on the edge of not working in Joomla 2.5.
