Hello,

just tried to migrate the Data from my old kunena-forum (version 1.5.11) . After the klick at the button "Import forums", I get many error-messages as shown below. What is to do?
Thanks for any hint.

Hi Wolfgang,

Those are PHP Warnings and are normally harmless - but messy. You can usually hide them by setting Site Error Reporting to System Default or to None.

Did the import work?

Hi Bob,

I'm afraid it didn't work. After changing Site Error Reporting to NONE, the erorr-msgs disappeared and very soon the msg:
"Starting Posts importing. please wait.......Finished successfully!" (similar text after all Migrate-Buttons) appears.
But all the chronoengine-SQL-Tables are empty.
The "ChronoForums Admin Home"-Page shows members count:188 (that are the records in table J25_users), but topics count and posts count are both 0.
Maybe my (very old) kunena-version has a data structure which you do not support? I think, later version of kunena has a different table-layout. If so, I will have to try to update kunena to a newer version and start the test again.
Regards
Wolfgang

Hi Wolfgang,

You are probably right about the changed table structure. My knowledge of how ChronoForums works is pretty small and my knowledge of Kunena even less, only Max can advise you beyond this point.

Answer
Hi,

Yes, the Kunena importer is very new and has been only tested with the latest Kunena version, its advised to update your Kunena first then try to import to Chronoforums.

Let us know how it goes!

Max
