Choronoforms module doesn't respect assignment

MarioP 09 Oct, 2014
Hello,
I'm new in Chronoforms but I have some experience with Joomla (I'm not a programmer). Everything was fine - I've created a form and published it by ChronoForms V5 Module. The issue occurs when I try to assign the module e.g. I try to set module assignment to 'Only on the pages selected' - that setting doesn't work. I'm not able to assign the module to the specific pages. The form appears on every pages regardless the settings. Is this a bug?

Hi Mario,

This would be controlled by Joomla, maybe you have to clear the website cache ?

Did you try ChronoMyAdmin for managing your Joomla database tables ?

Argh!...It turned out that the cause lies in the 3th party module Advanced Module Manager, rather in inability to use the module.😶 The module has default setting: 'Default menu assignment ( select whether to set the menu assignment of NEW modules to all or no menu items )'-> ALL. So after I've installed the Chronoforms module it was assigned to all items. The thing that confused me were settings of Advanced Module Manager - despite the new module is default assigned to all menu items, we don't see that in its settings (see attachment). Furthermore when I switched to the Joomla core module manager and I was trying to do the assignment that way, it also didn't work. ...Nevermind, it's not your problem...
The issue was solved - I've uninstalled the Module Manager and installed it once again. Now works properly. I'm very sorry for bothering you. Thank you.
