Can´t create tables

epsdaniel 24 Jun, 2008
I have a form working properly. The problem is when I try to create table to save the data does not work.

I select the form, clik on create table and appear colum to choose. Then I select the colum I need and click on create table button. Then I receive 404 error

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /administrator/index2.php on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I use Jooma 1.5.3
ChronoForms V2.5 J1.5 RC3.1
Legacy mode Off
Gzip Off
Smartsef On (but I have tried on and off)

Anybody could help me please!

Hi espdaniel,

There was an old bug with this where Create table didn't work if all the fields were left as LongText, please try changing at least one to something else - VarChar is OK.

If that doesn't fix it then I'd guess there's some kind of a permissions problem with the MySQL command? Do you have permission to create tables from your admin user?

Hi Bob,

Thanks so much for your quick reply. I have tried in my server and does not work. I check permission for mysql user and have it all.

Then I installed in another server in same condition and works!! So I guess I have a problem of permission not in mysql user but maybe in some files. Is that possible?? Or just maybe any configuration on my server?? When I install Joomla or any plugin that create tables I have never found any problem.

Could you tell me where could be the problem? It´s clear I think is not Chronoforms problem but it is my server problem but can not find where.

Thanks so much for your help.

Hi Dani,

I'm afraid that I've no real idea. Sever problems depends so much on the local setup. Very often they arise because the ISP puts in some 'protection' system that limits what some users can do. Unfortunately Joomla's error reporting isn't always very helpful either.

Your ISP support is the best place to get help with this kind of a problem as - hopefully - they understand their setup.
