Hi,
I have just updated to ChronoForum v. 1.1.1 on a Joomla version 3.3.3 installation with danish language.
The danish letters a,ø,å, Æ,Ø,Å are shown correct in ChronoForum except when viewing the text in a message after saving.
How is it possible to solve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Jørn
Hi Jorn,
Do you mean that new posts have the problem but old ones no ?
Nothing was changed in the data storage routine to cause this issue, which version did you have before ?

Yes - old posts is still ok but new posts in v. 1.1.1 are not. I have updated ChronoForum every time a new version was launched but I'am not sure if this issue was present in v. 1.1.0 or not.

Jørn
We have the latest update installed here and you could post the letters and they are displayed just fine, please check the database table for posts, check if they are saved ok ? and compare with old posts, also check the table charset and let me know!

Database tabel: jos_chronoengine_forums_post = Standard value NULL char. utf8-general-ci
All posts except the latest are ok in the database. Latest post only shows HTML values instead of the correct characters.
Another observasion is that if you modify a post on the forum and push the submit-botton you get a "non-existent web-site" meassage.

Hi Jorn,
Please redownload v1.1.1 and install it OVER yours, if this doesn't help then please ask your host admin if they made any changes ?

Tried to download v.1.1.1 and install OVER present Chronoforum installation but did not solve the issue. Has also been in contact with my Host admin and they asked me to check all settings once again. In Board Settings I had the folloving text editor settings:
Active Editor set to "TinyMCE" and Front Editor set to "Active Editor". After changing Front Editor to "Basic-Default" the special danish characters are showing correct. Maybe this issue was caused by the latest update of TinyMCE -v4.1.2- in the Joomla package?

Jørn
Hi Jorn,
The tinyMCE which comes with Chronoforums is not the same one which comes with Joomla, its however strange why it has this problem now, because I didn't touch it, I will update it by the new release hopefully!
