This question is about "Chronoforums" ? if yes then the editor can be enabled under the "Settings" section!

I see the setting which has an editor selection button but there is only one choice...TineMCE. I have JCE installed and set as system default with a profile that permits display on the front end. I would like to use JCE but that doesn't show up as an option in the forum configuration.
Hi Oldmoldy,
Unfortunately this is not currently supported, you can only use the default bbcode editor or tinymce.

I am testing the WYSIWYG editor right now. I've found that posts are not saved correctly. While inline formating like bold, italics or underline works just fine, unordered list is broken. The HTML special characters are turned into HTML entities, i.e. the HTML code itself is displayed instead of formated text. See the attachment [attachment=0]ChronoForums_WYSIWYG_editong.jpg[/attachment]
Looking into the database, the explanation is simple: while inline formating elements are converted into BBcode, ul and li elements are not. However, blockquote is working fine.
I should be able to fix this myself. Could you give me some hints about the code that needs to be changed to speed this up? Thanks.

Hi pstruhar,
The TinyMCE is actually loaded in bbcode mode, and you can view the code source before saving it, if it fails to do this properly then its the source of the issue, no further bbcode code processing is done before its saved.

Thanks admin, you're right. The preview is failing even with no formating applied. The preview area is shown, but empty.
Sorry, now I'm confused!🙂
What preview we are talking about here ? you mean the topic preview under the replies box (posts list) ? or the "blue" preview button for the entered text ? or the preview feature built in tinyMCE itself ?

Sorry, I misunderstood your previous reply. By "view the code source before saving it" I thought you meant the preview that is shown after clicking on the blue Preview button. That is the preview I meant. Here's the screenshot:

But how can I actually view the code source before saving it? Thanks.
