I have set and reset permissions. yet guest can still post. How can I resolve this. Please help

#1- make sure that the forums permissions setting is disabled under the settings page!
#2- make sure that the "Create topics" permissions are set to "not set" for all groups, and "allowed" for "Registered" and "Super users" only.
#3- login to your site frontend, then logout, then login again and start testing!

I am having the same problem. I can't find the "Create topics" permission except in the Forum's Manager section, but it is labeled "Create New Topics". Is that the permission that you are referring to in #2 - make sure that the "Create topics" permissions are set to "not set" for all groups, and "allowed" for "Registered" and "Super users" only. That doesn't seem to make sense if I've disabled the forums permissions in step #1.

Hi Jeff,

Please check the Global Permissions section which can be accessed by clicking the "Permissions" button in the forums admin home area.

The first section is named "Create new topics", that must be well configured!
