SImple does not work. advanced only works when test form

leeburstroghm 30 May, 2014
I started with a simple form setup. everything seemed ok with settings. I did not get any emails, and the image verification would not work at all.. only page refresh happened on submit. no messages. no errors. no debug information, The email repopulated with the old <scrip... email cloaking

I loaded the demos, and saw they were all advanced configuration.
I changed my form to advanced and tested the from from admin. it worked..
The form however will not function when setup as a menu item, or loaded via the plugin.
There are no special modules or things loading on the menu page that is not on the test form page. so I am STUMPED

Please help.

Hi

Please try setting Relative URL to as described in this FAQ

You also have dashes in some of the input names which may cause problems, please replace those with Underscores.

well, this does allow the form to continue to process, however all the modules and other page content disappears.. any way to send the item id so we have the modules still, when the form fails on captcha ? or when the thank you is shown?

Hi Lee,

Instead you can disable the website cache, because this is the source of the issue, Joomla caches the article including the form, so you can:

#1- disable the whole site cache!
#2- display the form using a menu item of type Chronoforms (not in article), this will not be cached.
#3- use the Relative URL fix!

Well, this did work. however it has stopped wroking, exact same issue, relative URL does not fix the issue.. Using a menu does though.

however, the form and page has extra code. a <div style="clear:both;"></div> right after all the JS.. how do I get rid of THAT!?

The clear div can't be removed easily, does it affect your form ?
