Can't get into component after Joomla 3.3.0 update

ebbstar 01 May, 2014
Hello...

I just ran the Joomla update and now I can't get into my Chronoforms:

All I get is this:
Warning: require_once(/home/swhfsg/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/versions/j3.3/admin.chronoforms.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/swhfsg/public_html/administrator/components/com_chronoforms/admin.chronoforms.php on line 19

Existing forms are still working fine though, I don't know what to do now....

Could someone kindly help me out please please please?

Hey Bob

Thanks for the quick reply....

Ok ok how would that affect the existing forms (and data) though? Would I have to redo them?
Max_admin 01 May, 2014
No, just download it then install OVER yours (do NOT uninstall), that should update all the files safely!

Max

Hello Bob and Max.... Thank you so much for the replies.

So ok I installed over the existing.... now there are 2 CFs in my system (see attached) and the existing forms are not showing up under CF5.

Nothing's broken but I don't really know what to do next....

Sorry, I'm a total idiot I know.

Any advice please please?

Hi ebbstar,

Chronoforms (v4) and Chronoforms5 install as 2 different components, so that users can use both of them on the same website, you had an error with v4 earlier, which means that your forms are under v4, so please download v4 for J3, and install it OVER yours, then you can access your existing forms under "Chronoforms".

Additionally you can keep Chronoforms5 and use it for new forms if you like it!

Max

Dear Max

I am so sorry for that absolutely stupid thing I went and did.

Totally misunderstood Bob's instructions and thought he meant latest meant CF5.

All is good now.

BIG THANKS and sorry again.

Hi ebbstar,

My apologies for not being clearer. I had meant the latest release of the same version.

Bob

No Bob! Don't apologise! It was all my bad, total bimbo moment.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi, thank you very much for this thread.
I wondered why Joomla when checking which components, models, or Joomla! itself are updated didn't mention Chronoforms needed updating, is this Joomla!'s fault?
GreyHead 24 Sep, 2014
Hi ebbstar,

No, it's not Joomla's fault - Max has chosen not to add ChronoForms to their auto-upgrade list so far.

Bob
