HTML to PDF

K2Joom 31 Mar, 2014
I have a custom form created which saves data to a db and creates downloadable PDF that functions correctly, but I am looking for someone that can create the required code to allow a 2 page pdf to be created using the field data, static text and format it.

I can provide an example layout of an existing pdf that is used.

If you have done any custom HTML to PDF then please let me know.

Hi K2Joom,

There is a PDF action available for ChronoForms v4 on the downloads page. This will accept HTML (similar to an Email Template) and create a PDF from your form output.

Hi Bob,

Yes, I have installed and configured the plugin and can output the data to pdf.
I tried the suggestion of using the email function to create the HTML, but that was not creating all the tags correctly. Next I looked at the docs and examples at TCPDF such as http://www.tcpdf.org/examples/example_006.phps

Does seem quite fussy with the css selectors that it will read correctly.though, so have been trying trial and error.

As I have a 2 page pdf to create, using nearly 130 fields to create a calibration certificate that will be provided to global blue chip companies, I though it needs to be done properly. And as I am not having much luck with it over the last few days, I thought I would put it out to "tender".

Hi Simon,

I've only got very limited experience with this and, as you say TCPDF is 'fussy' - by all means PM or email me with the spec and I'll take a look info at greyhead dot net

Cheers Bob,

I may well do that, but I am a stubborn mule🙂 and do not want to be defeated. (Not just yet anyway!)
