Problem after installing chronoforum

paxx 26 Mar, 2014
Hi after installing I have some problem with the Forum. Can not make any posts.

1. I have read the permissions instruction.
2. Since I put it up just for testing purpose now all the permission is set allow. Both in Categories and Forum.
3. In the Board settings area the Forum permission is set to "NO" Board display is set to "Default".
4. In the Permission settings everything is set to "Allow"
5. In the frontpage everything seems ok but after clicking in to a Forum you do not have any buttons or anything else.
6. Back to settingsarea and change the Board display to "Discussion" and you have got A "New Topic" button.
7. Clicking on this button turns the New Topic page up and you could start filling it out BUT when trying to save anything you get the error that you must choose a Forum first.

See also attached file.

Anyone have a suggestion?
Because I´m stuck.

#7- is a known bug with discussions mode, please don't enable this now

What happens when you work in normal mode (not discussions), you can't create new topics ?

Just to clarify, If I´m in "normal" forum mode it looks like the picture #6.
And all the settings is set to "Allow" for everybody.

I'm not sure and the images are not clear, please send me admin login to your website so I can check your config, there must be some wrong configuration some where!

Hi Stephen,

I found it, there is a small bug which has been found earlier and fixed here but not yet published, please don't end your forums or topics names/titles with numbers, e.g you have "forum #1", this causes a small problem with aliases and SEF, and the page is not loaded correctly.

Again, this issue has been fixed and a new release is supposed to be ready soon, so please fix your forums names and "aliases" for now.

Max
