Dropdown not working in FF

The dropdown simply won't allow a selection in FF 27.0.1. Works fine in Chrome & IE.

Any workarounds? I don't want to set the size to 2+ (which works - found another thread).

Probably not helpful but the form without the template is working OK in FireFox so I can only assume that some other script on the page is affecting the behaviour when the form is in the module. But I'm afraid that I have no idea what that might be :-(
