Name of the sender

Hi folks,
I need some helps.
I've installed chronoforms and I've already created a form using te easy wizard forms.

Now it seems that I'can't configure the emails tabs correctly, In fact in in the fields "From name*" and "From email*" I write the field name of the contact from which I would like to recevie the mail but it arrives from the name of my joomla website and from its email address...

For Example

My site is: www.antonio.com
myemail is: antonio@antonio.com

The field name of the name text box is "name";
the field name of the email textbox is "email";

In the emails tabs I set the value as follow:

From name*=name
From emai*=email.

In my maiilbox I receive correctly the mail but the name and the mail sender are: Antonio and antonio@antonio.com

Is there a solutions for my problem?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Pagano,

Please use the ReplyTo Email and ReplyTo Name boxes on the Dynamic Tab and put your website standard name and email in the From boxes on the Static tab.

thank you very much...
this is a new step for solving my "problem" but it's not my solution at all...
now clicking the answer button of my mailbox the answer is redirect to the name and the contact that I put in the form.

What I would like to do is getting an email not from my website standard name but from the value that the user put in the fields name and email...

Is this possible?

Anyway I find your answer at my request very helpful.
Thanks a lot.

Hi Antonio,

The Reply To are the correct settings to use for this!

You can use the Dynamic From Name and Email but your emails may not be delivered!!!

Bob

I strongly recommend that you do *not* use the Dynamic From Email element in your Email Setups. Using this often results in your emails being marked as spam and dropped into a spam filter. Instead use the static From Email with an address that matches the site domain name and use Dynamic ReplyTo Email for the user email. The result is the same but with a much better chance of good delivery.

Ok Bob,
I will follow your advice.

Now the tabs Emails of my form's easy wizard is set as follow:

From Name*= My Website Name
From Email*= info@mywebsite.com

Dynamic Reply to name= nome (this is the field name)
Dynamic Reply to email= email (this is the field name)

I hope I've applied your advices in the right way.
Thanks again.

Hi Pagano,

That looks good to me - the final test is: 'Does it work?'
