Access denied, message when I try to create a topic

Molnár 17 Feb, 2014
Hi!
I have read that there can be some problems with creating a topic in chronoformums, so I had a totally new joomla install, and a chronoforums install, I have logged in az super user, and still I get the following message:
"Access denied, you are not permitted to access this resource, you may not be logged in or your account may not have enough permissions."

I have not changed any settigns, it is the default chronoforums.
Even if I set everything to "Allow", I log out, I log in again, I still can not create a new topic.
I really appreciate your help!
Thanks!

Same here...this forum said minutes to set up. Turning into many hours. Frustrated.

Hi,

Please check the permissions setup FAQ for ChronoForums, you must review and configure the settings and permissions sections first before trying the forums, nothing is setup by default, even for super admins.

Hi
I have a similar problem with your Forum. Six hours I tried to get your forum to work with permissions. Without success, so I am asking for help. The second problem is that it can not be validated using either method described by you on your site.

here is link for screens of my joomla sites http://eternityguild.cz/screens/problem%20description.png I hope it will be useful for you.

Hi,

The problem here is that you have set a parent group to "Denied" and this will deny all children groups, regardless of their selections, please change denied to "not set"

Which parent group and where can I find the parent group pls. All parent categories have been set to allowed.yet still not working.
Max_admin 13 Jun, 2014
I'm talking about the Public group in the image, its set to denied and its the parent to all other groups, and this sets them all to denied!

Hi internetpope!

Had the same problem here. You should really read the FAQ.
http://www.chronoengine.com/faqs/68-chronoforums/5193-permissions-setup.html

Every time you change a permission setting you must clear cache in the chronoforum component, logout from your joomla frontend and log back in to see if the permission worked. Hope that helps!

Hi fguypn,

Please make sure that you login/logout after doing any changes!

Please make sure that you go to the users manager and save the "options" area!
