Chronoforms v5 plugin and Joomla 3.2.2 - form doesn't appear

andiirons 09 Feb, 2014
I've read thru the FAQ posted re: taking out the
and replacing with
and have done that. I still get the {chronoforms5} tags surrounding my file name appearing on my web page.

I've uploaded the Chronoforms V5 MODULE to my site, but don't know exactly what to do with it from here. Not sure what setting(s) to give it within Joomla 3.2.2 and how do I use the module version vs the component & plug-in. I'm more comfortable working with the component/plug-in features.

From the Chronoforms V5 component Forms Manager - Front View - "View Form" works like a charm -- I get the corresponding emails sent with appropriate messaging coded.

It also works great when the file is open in Forms Manager and I click on "Test Form".

What is my next step? I need to get an online registration form up and running for an upcoming seminar.

Hi andiirons,

If you've looked at the FAQ then you've done all of the obvious checks.

Have you double-checked that you have the correct CFv5 Joomla! 3 version of the Plug-in installed (there are so many versions now it's easy to get the wrong one)?

The Module is for putting a form into a template module location - the boxes around the top and sides of the page.

Yes I have the most recent Chronoforms V5 (there are only three listed under your downloads for that version) and downloaded and installed them a few days ago. They are enabled on the site/admin.

It doesn't look like the module is something that I want. I only want a form on a few pages for registration purposes. On an older site I administer (Joomla 1.x) I have your older Chronoforms and it works perfectly. My new site has Joomla 3.2.2 and I read that your original Chronoforms will not work on that platform. Am I correct?

Hi andiirons,

ChronoForms v4 works well on Joomla! 3 (ChronoForms v3 is for Joomla! 1.5 only).

I tried Chronoforms v4 and ran into the same problem. I'm suspecting it is a Joomla 3.2.2 version problem. Have you tried this Joomla version?
