Form does not submit

gngaz 20 Jan, 2014
Hi,

Admittedly I'm new to ChronoForms, so it's possible the "bug" I'm seeing is user error, but please bear with me.

I created 4 forms recently. Only one form actually appears to work as expected. The user hits "submit", the "Thank You" message appears, and I receive an email confirming the submission.
(one that works : http://gngaz.org/index.php/about-gngaz/contact-us)

On the other 3, something is wrong. The user hits "submit", the pages refreshes but opens to a now empty form. It doesn't display the "Thank You" message to confirm submission nor does it send the email. I've confirmed that all the proper elements seem to be active on the backend, but it just doesn't work for some reason.
(one that doesn't work: http://gngaz.org/index.php/how-you-can-help/become-a-volunteer/54-fundraising-committee-member)

Your help here would be GREATLY appreciated!

Hi gngaz,

If the forms are loaded using the plugin then this may be a Joomla cache issue, just click the form name in the forms manager and set "Relative url" to "no".

Yes, that did the trick, thank you!

One other thing I struggle with...most forms display a red asterisk if the field is required. I noticed that these forms don't do that (or if they do, I haven't found the setting). If there a way to show asterisks on required fields?

Thanks!

Chronoforms doesn't do that by default, you will have to add the asterisk in the label field yourself, I have this feature on the todo list for the next release!

HI gngaz,

Please see this FAQ which has a way to add 'required' styling using JavaScript.
