CCv4 and CFv4 errors - due to Joomla 3.20 to 3.21 upgrade?

skittle 03 Jan, 2014
All of my Chronoconnections and Chronoforms were working and now they aren't. As far as I can tell, the only thing that has changed on the site is the Joomla version. I recently performed a minor Joomla upgrade from Joomla 3.20 to Joomla 3.21. The only other thing that I have worked on is the .htaccess file. After performing the upgrade a few days ago I admit that I did not test everything on the website. Today I realized that most of my Chronoconnections generate this message - Notice: Undefined offset: 3 ....' and then fail with SQL errors. Some of my Chronoforms generate this message at the top of the form - 'Notice: Constant DS already defined in /home2/licehapp/public_html/sitev3x/components/com_chronoforms/chronoforms.php on line 11' but continue to work.

Any insight into these issues is very much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Skittle,

Please check that you have upgraded to the latest versions of CF & CC for Joomla! 3 - there were quite a few messy code changes in Joomla! 3.2 that broke a lot of things (and not only for us here).

You might also try setting Site Error Reporting to System Default or to None which should hide the PHP Notices and Warnings and stop them messing up pages.

Bob

PS Also update any of my custom actions if you are using them.

Thank you very much for the prompt and helpful response. I upgraded all of the Chrono packages on my site but this did not help (I think everything was already up to date). However, switching the error reporting level to none did the trick! (I vaguely remember changing the setting when I was debugging some other area of the site and obviously I didn't set it back.)

Thanks again Bob! Happy New Year!

John
