minor Setup difficulties / email bcc

Dirkmuc 08 Jun, 2008
Hi,

I just found chronoengine and I m very happy so far.

But two difficulties:

1) I just can t manage to get an email sent to the registrator.
I get an e-mail and due to my template I see his email, but the special fields so far dont work , I inserted "customeremail" in special tabs (without " "), but no email gets sent to him.

Is there an idea what could I have done wrong?

2) I use this code in my form (not a programmer)

"<tr>
<td width="14%"><font face="Arial" size="2">PLZ / Ort*</font></td>
<td colspan="3"><font face="Arial"><input type="text" name="as_ort" class="required" class="required" size="20"></font></td>
</tr>"

If I use verification, then all the data gets lost - if wrong letters are inserted.

I read your workaround in the forum, but simply don t know how my code would have to be instead. Tried, but didn t work as I don t now enough about php coding.

Hi Dirkmuc,

The email field name in your form is "as_email" - please try that in the Special fields tab (qithout quotes).

Sorry, I din't understand what the second query was?

Hi,

thanks for your quick reply:

1)I checked with as_email before (customeremail was just an example in the posting) but it doesn t work. No email coming trough. Put it in the special field, also tried CC and BCC there.

2) When I turn on validation then the form is emptied, if somebody missed the validate letters. I just can t find it, but you recommended a code php? to solve it, I simply don t know how to integrate this into my html form coding.

Thanks from Munich,

Dirk

Hi Dirk,

Ah, sorry, my mind-reading isn't working well today :-(

As you don't say if any emails are beign delivered, please check this FAQ.

Yes you do need some php to save the form values. BUT I hear a rumour that the next release of ChronoForms may do this for you :-)

Solved!

1) email was sent, exactly hoiw it is described with special fields.

My mistake was that the email adress put into was automatically redirected and so I only received one (exchange server setting rule) ... well back to basics..

2) great with the new versions feature

Thanks

Hi Dirk,

Those ISPs think of everything. I have addresses with gmail. hotmail, aol . . . so that I can test different combinations.
